This is my PCB for runoffgroove’s Umble overdrive.

The circuit has been altered to have less gain. The original had way too much for my liking.

Listen to the soundfiles!

Here is the link to ROGs project and their soundfiles.

The Umble is modelled after one of the famous Dumble amps.

Board mounted pots can be used to make the build easier.

Version 1.3 of the PCB has an optimized layout and testpoints for easy biasing of the circuit.

PCBs based on runoffgroove circuits purchased from TH custom effects are intended for DIY / non-commercial use only. Any commercial use whatsoever is forbidden

I just finished my UMBLE 1.4 and used it as my pre-amp in an amplifier I built….. it was a good choice seening it is fairly clean. I added a few mods of mine….. I wired it to have caps 16, 17, & 18 to turn on/off to help with getting a cleaner sound. Not super high gain but just enough break up that an overdrive pedal sounds real good in front of it. I also used MPF102 transistors instead of the J201….. to me it sounds really good…..
